Considering that it was removed due to a legal threat by Nintendo, no, I haven't thought of remaking it. I'd have to go full-blown knockoff to make a similar platformer... and i'm not totally discouraged from the idea, but I have more original projects that take higher priority.

I have thought of reuploading it under an odd name. Many Mario themed games persist on Newgrounds and I suspect that some Nintendo people just searched for the name "mario" and issued threats based on that. Who knows.

Also the original flash file is missing it's sound/music stuff, so I couldn't update it. But I don't know. Fuck it. Flash is going away in a year and my account's pretty dead anyway. Maybe I ought to reupload it and challenge the establishment, see how far I can fly before they shoot me down ;^p. I put 9 months into that game and it was nothing but love; it's a shame it'll have to disappear forever.
